Recipe of the Week; Creamy Salad Dressing

Copyright by The Old School Housewife
I gave this recipe ** (good) because I like it but my husband doesn't like anything with a sweet taste, so he probably won't.  But it is an easy recipe you can keep in the fridge in an air tight container for a couple of weeks.  I got it from an Amish cookbook called "Cooking with the Fishers".    I altered it slightly by first, making half the recipe and doubling up on the pepper and I didn't use the celery salt.  I also used light mayo so that lightened it.  I had this dish (in the picture) for lunch.  1 tomato and a couple of pieces of cheddar cheese and it was a good lunch.  Here's the recipe.

Creamy Salad Dressing
1 cup mayonnaise ( I used light)
1/4 c. sugar
1/2 tbsp. yellow mustard
1/2 tbsp. apple cider vinegar
1/4 tspn. salt
Fresh ground black pepper, to taste
(If you want to use the celery seed - 1/4 tspn.)
Mix all the ingredients well.  Chill.  Tastes great on fresh greens with a variety of veggies.
