Dessert; Cannolis, my way

I made one of my husband's favorite desserts today.  Cannoli's, but not with the New York style filling; with my filling.  The same cream that I use in the ice box cake that he loves.  It's so easy.  I bought the cannoli shells and just made the cream and dusted them with powdered sugar.
Cream Recipe is:
1 qt. milk
4 egg yolks
1 cup sugar
4 heaping tblspns. corn starch
1 tspn. vanilla
1 tblspn. butter
Just mix all the ingredients, except the butter, while everything is cold in a pot and stir till everything is dissolved and heat it, stirring all the while till the cream is thick like pudding, then remove from heat and add the butter and stir till the butter is dissolved.  Make sure the cream is cold before filling the shells.
