I planted these carrots from seed.  Remember the ice cream cone experiment?

You know by now that I love birds.

I caught this little bird taking a bath and couldn't resist getting it on video.  I only regret that I didn't start till he was almost done.  He was very thorough through out the whole process.

Nature; Beautiful clouds over my house this evening

This was what the clouds looked like over my house this evening.  I always wondered where the color comes from. Some day I'll have to look it up.  I just thought it was so pretty.

Nature; Hand of God?

My daughter, Shelly, took this picture from her front yard.  She thought, and I agree with her that it looked like the "hand of God".  She said it was more beautiful in person.

Home Life; Surprise flowers

I had no idea that this plant would make flowers.  Just yesterday I spotted these tiny little flowers on this huge plant.    There are some in the back of the plant too.  I think it might be in the begonia family, but I'm not sure.  It came in a 1 or 2" pot when I first bought it.  I loved the leaves and didn't know it would get this big.

Gardening; A tree growing flowers on the trunk??

Look what my husband did!  There was a huge hole where a branch used to be in this tree, so my husband took one of my hanging baskets and took the plant out of the pot and stuck it in the tree.  I thought it was pretty clever and it looks pretty.  I hope it continues to grow.  Maybe we'll buy one for that space next year.
